Book of Revelation: Book of the Bible that deals with the Apocalypse and Judgement.
Dante: He wrote the Divine Comedy, composed of The Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradiso, three books exploring Dante's vision of Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven.
De Sade: French writer known for his immoral writings. The terms sadistic and sadism come from his name and his work.
Elements: The Western elements are fire, water, earth, and air. The Eastern are fire, water,
metal, earth, and wood.
Garden of Paradise: Eden. From Genesis in the Bible.
Genesis: Book of the Bible that deals with the Creation of the world and humans, and their fall.
Nirvana: It was the eternal non-being, the disappearance of self into the infinite.
Paradise Lost: Epic poem written by John Milton that deals with the fall from Eden.
Rabelais: Writer during the Renaissance.
Swift: Another satiric writer.
Internal Clock, Municipal Orrery
Cock Beats its Wings: Jesus told Peter he would deny him three times before the cock crowed.
Orrery: An instrument that represents the movements and phases of the planets, etc. in the solar system.
Twelve Disciples: Jesus' twelve disciples.
Zodiac: Shows the path of the sun, moon, and planets, and the division of the twelve signs (Cancer, Leo, Virgo, etc.).
