Mara
From Buddhist tradition, the commander of the demon army and a deity of death and temptation. From Hindu tradition also a demon of death, or evil. Mara is the name of a demon
in the Ah! My Goddess manga. The demons that enter the Inner Heart in Alice 19th are called mara; the Lotis Masters fight against. From European superstition a Mara creates bad dreams or is a demon thereof; sometimes the Nightmare. Similar and sometimes synonymous
with the Latin Incubus. In the manga, mara live inside
the hearts of human and each have a form of their own. This is similar to Taoist belief of monsters or evil/negative energies within the body.
Maram
