Alice in Wonderland and Alice Through the Looking Glass

Alice 19th bears a few homages to Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland. Seno Alice may be like the heroine Alice in her stumbling upon a white rabbit and being led into another world built on the realities of this one yet goverened by different rules and realizations. The Inner Heart would be the equivalent to Wonderland in such a case. Nyozeka is a white rabbit (though her true form seems to be a little girl with pink hair, rabbit ears, and large rabbit feet, very cute) which Alice rescues from a busy street only to be given a magic bracelet which bestows on her the power of a Lotis Master and the ability to enter the Inner Heart. Nyozeka is her guide.

From OVA 2 of Dream Hunter REM, this episode makes several references to Through the Looking Glass. The opening quote is the first:

You see, Kitty, it must have been either me or the Red King. He was part of my dream, of course but then I was part of his dream, too!

In the opening scene a girl is sleeping but wakes or half-wakes still dreaming and walks through the mirror in her room. On the other side walks over chessboard and other side of mirror looks like something out of one of Carroll's books. Finally, she is at the top of a tower where a ghost appears riding a creature that may be Carroll's Jabberwocky, then kills her. One by one Kyoko will visit the dreams of the girls who caused her death, and the world of dreams and outside cross by the final confrontation.

Of course Miyuki-chan in Wonderland, My Neighbor Totoro, and Serial Experiments Lain all have references to Carroll's works as well.

Count Cain
From Joanna: Count Cain is called Hargraves, the name that Alice Liddell (the real Alice) had when married.

Fushigina Kuni No Alice

Licca OVA
In OVA 1&2 Licca, her toy Dodo, and the cat are transported to a world ala Alice and the place is just as whimsical as Carroll would have written.
